2013 was an awesome year as we saw God moving in mighty and powerful ways! We thank God for his protection over all our race events. There were many opportunities for counseling and speaking Christ’s love into people’s lives. I finished the 2013 sermon series “Like Jesus” in Houston, There were many first time chapel attendees and great conversations about how we can be more “Like Jesus”! One of the highlights for me was Belardi’s USF2000 Team Manager, Chuck Lessick and his acceptance of Jesus as his Lord and Savior. I had the privilege of baptizing him, his wife and their daughter into Christ! Another great development is the leadership of Andersen Promotions in the management of the Mazda Road to Indy ladder program. The Andersen’s are wonderful Christian people and always welcome the ministry into their series and paddock area! We also started a new Winner’s Circle Study at Schmidt Petersen Motorsports.

The USF2000 and Pro Mazda series have been busy in the “off season”. The third annual Chris Griffis Memorial Mazda Road to Indy Open Test was held on December 9 and 10 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama. The two-day test featured all three levels of the ladder system. There were many new driver/team combinations and many of the drivers moved up to the next rung in the developmental ladder. This was also the first sanctioned event with all three development series running under the Andersen Promotions banner.

The next sanctioned event is the 2014 Winter fest, which now includes Pro Mazda series. There will be one round in New Orleans (NOLA) on Feb. 21-22 and one round at Barber Motorsports Park on Feb. 25-26. There will be double headers for Pro Mazda and triples for USF2000 at both locations. The Indy Lights will also have track time to test between the Winter fest race sessions.

On a personal note, in 2013, I was humbled and honored to receive my Master’s Degree from Cincinnati Christian University and to be ordained by my home church, Indian Creek Christian Church. Special thanks to my my wife, Deatra, for her unwavering support. Finally, thank you for your continued prayerful and monetary support. We could not do this work that the Lord has laid before us without you!
